beesite Recruiting: The flexible applicant management system
Germany’s largest airline receives around 120,000 applications every year. When vacancies are advertised, for example for flight attendants, the number of applicants can reach four figures within a few days.
The task
The recruitment system has to be very flexible because the Deutsche Lufthansa AG Group, with its more than 400 companies, covers a wide variety of job profiles – and the application workflow for an aircraft mechanic is different from that for employees in a catering company. Flexibility also means adaptability: a recruiting solution must not only interact with numerous company systems, but also map the company’s central selection criteria.
Solution
Lufthansa spent a whole year looking at the market for recruitment systems. After this thorough selection, the choice fell on the beesite Recruiting Edition from milch & zucker. The main reasons:
– Compliance with the functional requirements
– the convincing usability of the application
– the high cost-effectiveness of the product
– and the flexibility in customisation and alignment that was needed
Other challenges solved
– Migration of the existing data
– Connection to the existing system landscape, taking into account all security standards
– Setting up interfaces to the SAP HR master data system, SAP organisation management, online tests and the external candidate front end, among others
– Rollout in several countries
milch & zucker’s task was also to provide all process participants in the back office of the recruiting system (specialist departments, managers, co-determination committees, shared service centres, etc.) with a user-specific optimised start page, the so-called cockpits, according to their roles.
