Basic method
We selected the AI method of an intent-based chatbot with additional entity extraction and beesite-specific stories, following a recommendation from the European Commission for service chatbots.

Predefined answers
The AI system independently recognizes the contents of a message. The appropriate answer is then selected from a series of predefined phrases. These phrases are individually quality-checked manually by experienced specialists at milch&zucker before they are made available in the chatbot.

Intent-based chatbots are designed to match requests with predefined intentions. That makes it more likely they will understand the request correctly and provide an accurate answer.

Speed
Intent-based chatbots can process questions faster than other types of chatbots. That is because they do not need to understand every possible topic and every nuance of human language.
